 Kelly Nash was born in Davie, Florida, a suburb of Fort Lauderdale. Kelly Nash spent her childhood fishing and boating with her father Ed Nash. Kaitlyn Nash is her sister , and Carolyn Nash is her brother. Kelly Nash is from the English, Irish and Swedish ethnic groups. Her great-grandfather was a Portuguese immigrants, arrived in America from Portugal.

 Kelly Nash loved the Miami Marlins at a young age. Although she was a sports enthusiast at an early age, she always dreamed of becoming an anchor for a newscast. Kelly Nash received a Bachelor's degree in Communication and Media Studies from Clemson University in Clemson, South Carolina in the year 2006. In 2009, she received her degree from Clemson University with a Masters Degree in Youth Development Leadership. In exchange for her services as a coach on the Sports Information Department's Soccer and Baseball teams she was awarded an athletic scholarship that was full-time by the Clemson Athletic Department.

 Kelly Nash, a MLB Network studio host, is featured on a variety of shows, which include Quick Pitch, the nightly highlights show. She is also an NHL Network Studio host. She is a guest on the Nightly Game recap show, On The Fly. In March of 2015, she was a part of the MLB Network. She also started working for the NHL Network in 2015. The NHL Network's operations on a daily basis were located at the MLB Network headquarters.
